Relicseed, founded in 2004 in Latvia, made their mark with style-defining tracks “Bailes” and “Pēdējais Vergs” in 2007, both of which received immediate airplay on local SWH Rock Station. Their debut 60 Minūtes Sapņa (“60 Minutes of a Dream”) followed in 2010, paving the way for international recognition. In 2011, the band played its first shows in the UK and Germany and made its U.S. live debut at San Francisco’s Metallibash: 3 Decades of Damage, before heading to Burbank, CA in 2012 to record Slaughterhouse at Tranzformer Studios with the late Bryan Carlstrom behind the desk.
Since then, Relicseed has toured extensively across Europe, the USA, and Japan, sharing stages with acts like Testament, TYR, Mushroomhead, Sirenia, Dethklok to name a few. Their discography includes three albums “60 Minūtes Sapņa” (2010), “Slaughterhouse” (2014), and “Ideoloģija” (2017). “Slaughterhouse” earned the band the Independent Music Award (USA, 2015) for Best Metal/Hardcore Album, while “Ideoloģija” won Latvia’s Golden Microphone (2018) for Best Rock or Metal Album.
In 2024, Relicseed marked their 20th anniversary with a major show at Palladium Riga and released the single “The Difference.” The following year brought new singles “Neitrālais” and “Taisnība,” further outlining the sonic direction of the band’s upcoming studio album.
